Fairtrade International
Fairtrade är en global certifiering med verksamhet i omkring länder. Paraplyorganisationen Fairtrade International binder ihop tre övergripande producentnätverk med 25 nationella Fairtrade-organisationer, där Fairtrade Sverige är en.
Fairtrades vision är en världshandel med rättvisa villkor. Odlare och anställda i länder med utbredd fattigdom ska ha möjlighet att skapa sig en trygg och hållbar tillvaro. De ska kunna leva ett bra liv, utvecklas och bestämma över sin egen framtid. Vi möjliggör en sådan världshandel genom ett brett, internationellt samarbete mellan konsumenter och råvaruproducenter.
Fairtrade International är den paraplyorganisation som styr det globala arbetet. De arbetar med allt från att utveckla de internationella Fairtrade-kriterierna till att ta fram gemensamma strategier och organisera stödprogram för odlare och anställda. Fairtrade International samordnar också det lokala arbetet i olika länder.
